About Diane

Diane Atwood began her career in health care as a radiation therapist and dosimetrist at Southern Maine Radiation Therapy Institute in Portland, Maine then moved on as a reporter for WMTW-TV and WCSH-TV. In 2002, she left television to become Manager of Marketing and Public Relations for Mercy Health System of Maine. After nearly nine years in that position, Diane decided to take decades’ worth of skills and experience in the health care and communications fields and embark on a new career as a freelance medical writer.
